Need some quick help with DVD Drive on freshly build desktop.

Just spent the last few hours putting together my new desktop. After all was said and done the only issue I am having is with my DVD drive.

The issue I am having is, I have power to the drive, hit the open button on the front bezel, a green light comes on but the drive does not open. Any thoughts? Like I said before, this is a fresh build, with no OS installed yet (until I get this drive figured out :mad:).
 
Most likely you have a bad drive and you need to rma it. But first try it in a different system to see if it will open. If not, rma it back to newegg.

Yep, thanks for a heads up, tried it in a buddies computer and it's toast.:mad:
Looks like I will be heading to Best Buy to pick up a new drive tomorrow, it isnt worth the time and effort to RMA a $25 DVD drive. At least that was the only faulty part in my new build, I knew I should have spent the money on that LG Blu Ray player:rolleyes:.
