Xbox 360 and Headsets?

This is kind of a rant, but does anyone else get sick and tired of playing video games and like no one has a mic? Most games are objective based, and require teamwork and communication, now I know I'm not going to be sitting in a corner sending my teammate a message because he doesn't have a f***ing headset. I think it should be like a requirement in order to use Live, to have a headset, or to play certain games a headset has to be inserted? Agree\Disagree, let me know your input.
 
What game are you playing? In some games, such as Modern Warfare (and MW2), having a headset makes it more likely that you will be paired with other players who also have headsets. It doesn't always happen, but at least the game makes the effort.
 
If the majority of the xbox live user base wasn't a bunch of 12 year olds who scream stupid bullshit into the mic people might be inclined to talk more. I always mute everyone right from the beginning lol
 
I mute it also. There's always a bunch of douches shouting on xbox live and it keeps anyone from wanting to use a mic, unless they are on with friends.
 
I only use my headset when I am in a party with friends, otherwise it is off so I don't get people singing, screaming, just doings general douchebaggery

You and everyone else gets sick of this lol.

Left 4 Dead has this problem a lot, teamwork required and no communication. That's why I FR every good player I come across in pub games.

That is the main reason I don't even use mine anymore. To many little kids screaming in my ear.
 
Yeah, unfortunately the only time that I use a headset is with people that I know before going into the match. And even then, I usually mute everybody else that is in the match. Otherwise, there's a lot of nonsensical swearing and yelling that goes on and just gets in the way of actually playing the game. I know that it goes against the idea of a lot of these multiplayer games but, I prefer my sanity over the ramblings of a wannabe gangster 12 year old...
 
The problem is the people that use headsets do nothing but bit*h. Nobody wonts to hear that which is why nobody uses a headset. If they wont me to talk to them give me an option to mute the cry babys and a-holes that play the game. Until then I will only use mine when I play with friends who ironically still bit*h and cry:P
 
A lot of games will allow you to selectively mute, that way you can just hear the whining from the people you know... :P (at least a lot of the ones I've played on the PS3)

On live you can permanently mute any player by going to there profile. If I did that then I would have 95% of players muted:D I just avoid players I don't like. I myself am 82% avoided on live. Which means 82% of people I play with avoid me so they don't have to play with me again.
 
well i used to have a head set but every time i played some like 7 year old would play halo and that high piched voice saying "im gonna kill you" and they sware as well.. then you kill them they scream "HACKER" sooo annoying.. so i got rid of mine

Yeah, because muting the people wouldn't work.
