Labelflash or not?

I just bought a new Gateway PC DX4820-05 which is supposed to have an optical drive with Labelflash technology. I have downloaded Roxio, Cyberlink Labelprint, Index Writer from the Labelflash official website,Nero 9, etc. I bought Memorex Labelflash media. My os is Windows 7. I have burned a photo slideshow onto the disc. When I flip the disc over to burn a label using one of any of the above mentioned programs nothing happens. None of the programs will display the Labelflash option on their menus. I've contacted Gateway and they insist the drive is capable of Labelflash. Thats all they can tell me......for free. Otherwise I have to pay up to 129.00 for any other info. Is there a way to tell if my optical drive is really capable of Labelflash? Because I think it is the wrong drive. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

Front of the drive should have a labelflash icon on it. Although, after you use it a few times, the novelty of it wears off(fast), as it takes quite a long time(longer than burning the cd).

i would probably use it more, except the discs are so expensive. it would be cheaper for me to buy the cd's with the paper finish and stick them in my printer
