I was looking at the Antec Eathwatts 500w green and stumbled across this in the product description.

"No Power Cord included. By reusing your existing power cord, you can reduce waste and help protect the environment"

Opinions?

hmm I would say it makes sense. why do you need a new power cord when the one you have works perfectly fine?

Yeah, but some people (like me) don't own any power cords! What if the person had been previously running on a laptop? I'm not dissing Antec PSUs, as they are top notch, but no Power cord?

I have hundreds of power cords. my dad is a certified electrician and he's the manager of a jaycar store. i have a drawer full of power cords

You want one? :P

It is just a standard kettle lead, they can be picked up cheap from any PC store, electrical store, hardware store, hell I wouldn't be surprised if supermarkets stocked them. Better to not give the majority something they don't need than give the minority something they do, but can get elsewhere

I guess it could be considered going green, but there should be a special deal to get the cord along with it.
