Hi everybody, today something happened with my screen, I opened leptop and it turned black but still computer was working and screen was black as I just turn it on. I think you understand backlight is working. I tried to fix it by my self but nothing I can do. I think the problem is LCD CAble.
when I turn on computer it is still working and windows is loading. screen has light but it is black.
any ideas?
thank you.

First of all you will unplugged your data cable and then plugged your data cable. Then you can check your RAM slot. If your problem will not solve then you can repair your system with your system boot disk and then your problem is solve.

Its ACER ASPIRE ONE A7501H as I remember. Its new 3 month but without warranty.
I said that windows is working, the problem is just with screen.
if it was problem with Ram, it will tell me about it.
I connect it with monitor and on monitor everything is ok.
So Video card is working properly.
any idea?

im guessing it is a bad ribbon cable in the computer connecting the video card to the monitor. look around for some estimates maybe

Try these Steps,

1-press F8 after turn on th laptop.
2-remove HDD and battery ans pressing turn in for while (10Sec.) then connect your laptop
with power cable.

I hope this helps.

do you see anything on the screen, such as bios from startup?

if not, could be the inverter, screen, or cable. best hope its the cable, thats the cheapest fix

you can always order a new cable and replace it. its not that much work, fairly easy. if that doesnt do it, its probably the screen. if the backlight is turning on, id say the inverter is fine

first of all, try to adjust brightness and function key to switch display, see if it works. if both not, try external monitor, if the display works fine. it means the LCD screen is out of order. then repair LCD.

I took the netbook to repair it in nearest center. after a day, he called me and said that problem is with motherboard. he also said that he cant check the chip, he is just thinking that its a video chipset problem on motherboard. also he find that cable was damaged.
He also connected it to external monitor and everything was ok.
So I dont even know whats the problem. backlight is working and I can even turn on or off it from keyboard. external monitor is working properly. I think motherboard cant have two video chipsets one for external monitor and one for internal screen.
P.S. in my opinion the problem is with cable or with screen.
any new Ideas? if you know some good shops for spare parts in UK write them. thank you.
