Nvidia is a US based corporation, they are expected to release at PAX East IIRC, which doesnt start until tomorrow here in the states(and wouldnt be until probably 3-4 EST, which is about 16 hours away).

Also...dont expect any price drops on 5xxx cards.
 
Why push back the release date on a card that is faster than the 5870? They already released the video...
 
if i actually had to money to buy new crap i would be disappointed in this, but i have like 35c + $20 my sister owes me :)
 
I hope that nVidia comes out on top... usually, I root for the underdog, but if nVidia doesn't beat them, ATi will have some jacked up prices for a long time. Plus, I want to get the P55 FTW SLI mobo... and it don't support CFX.

Yes it does, and i think the 27th is when nda is up, so this is probably going to be a paper launch

Hmm.. i think the gtx 2xx is better than the HD 4xxx.. The 5xxx is better than the GTX 2xx.. Now, GTX 4xx will definitely be better than HD 5xxx both single and dual. And so it goes over and over again..

Now nvidia will in 2 months take the lead for 6 months.. then ati will come back and take the lead for another 6 months.. lol..

Nvidia earns so much more via health research, the developers, their programs and everything else so they could be behind ATI for years and still have a higher income than any other similar industries..

IF it is 20% increase in that one single game then it would be faster than a 295...in that one test.

In the real world, you can't predict it, I am taking that with a pinch of salt, I see it being roughtly level with the 5870, maybe beating it but not by an amount that will make it worthy of the huge price tag they will slap on it.

Plus you have to factor in that a 5970 is much more difficult to get a good overclock on that an single-gpu card.
