pci e x16 card for 300w psu?

hi im looking for a good pci e card for my conputer but only have a 300w psu with 15amps on the 12 volt rail i heard that the hd3870 will work can anybody give me a card that will be fine with my psu ?thanks

What games do you intend to play?
Whats your Max budget?

and what Power supply is it you have?

I doubt the HD3870 would work with only 15 amps on the 12v rail. Take a look at some low end 5 series card, they should have low power consumptions.

pentium d duel core 820 2.8 ghz
2gb ddr2 667 ram
250 gb western digital sata hard drive
x700 pci e card need upgrade

The high end ones are really good. Any low end card is crap. The problem is that your PSU is crap too, it can't really handle anything more than your average low end card.

hi im looking two play modern warfare 2 etc and i no its a standerd atx psu so somthing around 40pound for psu

The supply is working perfectly on my self-built system, with an overclocked E5300 at 3.8GHz and an overclocked HD4650.

You could step up to a 500W model of that power supply for £45 if you wanted but that 400w should be fine on your setup if you had a 4650.
