It looks like bad news, friend. :(

Depending on the reason you wan't the motherboard, i'm willing to find you a new one. :)

hi i need the motherboard coz im geting a core 2 duo but my motherboard dont support so need a new motherboard

What are the main uses of the computer going to be? Gaming? Web surfing? Video editing? Details like that can help us find you a good board.

If you don't have the CPU yet, I'd recommend getting an AMD PhenomII Athlon (any within budget, they are all comparable to or beat the C2D CPUs, and you can get an x3 or x4 cheaply, which will give you more multitasking capabilities) and either an AM2+ board if you already have your DDR2 memory, or an AM3 board if you don't yet, and pick up some DDR3 memory.

Stupidly, DDR2 and 3 are prices about the same, even though DDR3 has better performance

hi no i havnt got it yet planning to get the e6600 this weekend and ill be using the pc for gaming so need somthink thats gona last i have also looked at the core i3 is there much diffrence beween c 2 duo and i3?

i3 is faster than C2D. But you will need to use DDR3 RAM.
with $100 CPU, I would recommend Athlon II x4 630 instead

I believe this is a better benchmarks
E8400 @ $168, core i3 540 @ $140. they should compare i3 540 with E7600 @$145 instead!

However, if you taking upgrade ability in cosideration, i3 is the way to go. Also, is it worth to pay extra $20 for 0.13GHz??

With $168, which is the best? Phenom IIx4 955!!

they both show the same thing: i3 better in benchmarks, C2D better in games. Yours has more results and tests, so deffinately the better source :good:

And agreed with the PhIIx4, but remember you will pay more for an AM3 board and DDR3 memory than for DDR2 and LGA775 board

No. PhenomIIx4 955 can use in AM3/AM2+/AM2 DDR2 mobo
Just need to go to the offical website to double check.
