Not Reading In Disc Drive

I recently bought Just Cause 2, and when I put it in the disc drive, nothing happens. I go to My Computer and click the disk drive and it says there's nothing in it.

What's going on here?

well i have two guesses, the first is its a pc dvd and you have a cd rom, or two your dvd-rom is going bad. my old burner went bad, at first it read all dvds fine, then slowly it quit reading different brands, now it will only read verbatim disc but about 50% through a burn it fails.

or if it is working, why not just back it up as an .iso file incase it doesn't work on the drive, alot less risk than potentially getting some kind of malware, and less downloaders = less revenue and incentive for torrent hosts and seeders ;)
