Corsair H50 VS TRUE cooler

I currently have a core i7 oc'ed to 3.7 GHz with a TRUE air cooler. My temps are 62 degrees C running 100% load with prime 95. I'm interested in getting into water cooling and was wondering if I'll see much cooler temperatures with the H50 setup? Is it worth the swap?

If I do choose to go the H50 route I plan to install the TRUE on my brothers core i7.
 
It really isn't worth the change. The H50 performes right on par with high end air coolers. I would be willing to bet...5c is the biggest gain you might see. If you want water cooling for taking an i7 up around 4.0 GHz, you are going to need a real water cooling setup.

Doubt you will even see a 5c gain, those self contained water cooling units arent that great, and a TRUE in its stock form is very similar in performance. You want bang for the buck, lap the base of your true and you will see more temperature decrease than if you change to a mediocre water system like the h50.
 
Water cooling does not get you much more overclocking headroom.

Your temps are fine, most people run 4.2-4.4ghz on air cooling with an I7 920 and 4.6ghz tops (as a 24/7 overclock) with water cooling. And honestly, even if you just clock it to 4ghz, there's nothing you could do that wouldn't be fast! Just set it in your Bios to 200x20, and adjust your ram multi accordingly, you'll probably need a hair more voltage than you are running now....and I'll bet you'll see 72-75c max which is still plenty safe.
