Okay, so i just played Aion online until lv 8 and i've got to say.. It's sick! Damn nice game!. This game is superior to any other MMO i've played so far. That includes 4.5 years of wow-gaming, Guild wars, Allods, Lineage, Age of conan online, etc etc..

The customization is more advanced than any other mmo, heck it's more advanced than games such as Mass Effect 1 and 2.. Aion uses CryEngine so Aion's graphics is damn nice, the characters clothes and hair has some nice wind/etc effects.

The Questing is pretty much different and more original compared to other mmo's (to a certan extent) Why? Well, i figured out that there are a different set of quests (can't remember name) But they are unique compared to the regular quests. You often see in-game action scenes of yourself and your past. And at lv 10 or 12 you can fly.. Yes FLY!! No leveling to 70 before flying! it took me 2.5 hours to level my char to 8, so i'll probably hit 10 or 12 today without any prob..

I recommend this game to everyone who loves MMORPG games. Keep in mind that this game (similar to wow) cost actual money, yet it is a bit cheaper compared to wow. Feel free to discuss..

i dont think you know what your talking about, as far as i know aion cost money to buy and for monthly play there is no free about it.
 
I believe it costs $15 USD a month. What I understand about Aion is that you pay for the hours you play. So, it is a bit cheaper then other P2P MMO. Personally I have not tried it yet, but I have heard wonderful things about it.

It's damn sick! I just leveled 13 and i can fly everywhere using wings! i can even pvp in the air!!

Edit: This game truly impressed me, despite the reviews.. This game must the one of the most underrated games ever? The graphics is the best i've seen in a MMORPG so far..

I played it during the asian beta and played at full release, and I it pretty poor. It didn't bring anything too revolutionary to the table, other than customisation and looks it had not alot, the flying wasn't so good because you can fly for a limited time...then plummet, with no way of stopping yourself.

I stil think wow is a hell of alot better than it, hell, it is about on parr with AoC for me, that is how little I enjoyed it
 
Personally for me, its the same old any other eastern mmo ==" when i hit lvl 22 back a few months ago it was time to call it quits. Reason being is because, at that time i felt as if Aion was like much other eastern F2P mmos but more attractive. As i kept playing it had the same feel to those mmos. The questing became repetitive, you could probably guess what quest came next. Flying is a great idea but you dont get much use out of it :/ As you progress you will have to grind and that is what cut me off. Thats my experience and thoughts on this game, its different for many others :) just a thought to share for those of yous willing to try it out! :D if so have fun

You shouldn't really compare a Third person shooter to Aion.... Shure, i think APB will be great, but it's not the same as Aion. Two very different genres.

APB = MMOTPS! <- not sure what genre APB is.. Third Person shooter with rpg elements and objectives? I will buy this game, i just hope it wont turn out to be a huge fail.

AION = MMORPG! <- Fantasy, questing, etc.. The way i love it.

Edit: I just reached lv 20 in Aion, and i have played for less than two days. I also have school, work etc too.. The game is very good so far, and i've noticed how great the variety is as i level up.

i prefer games that require you to grind your levels, and the graphics arent bad at all prolly some of the best ive seen
