2GB or 4GB

I am about to buy a laptop for use on the internet, scanning, printing, and webcam use. How will 2GB or 4GB affect the performance of these and other functions?
Also, with a laptop, will I need to buy a docking station, port replicator or expansion base, and if so, which would be the least expensive for my use?

I would go for 4GB especially if your running Vista or Windows 7 it will just over all run better.

Hate to break it to you, but with that processor + gpu you'll not be gaming even with 2+ gig

i most definitly will. i can do it alright right now, and with another gig and a half, it will be fine. im not a heavy gamer, just when i have down time.

lol its integrated graphics your not going to be playing to many intensive games on it. What kind of games do you play on it?

If you mean FEAR good lucking running that on your laptop halo you might get by with on all low settings.

oh yeah. typo. sorry. and it was running ok today. im buying 2 gigs of RAM ingeneral anyways, so i hope itll fix it. if not, whatever, i need the RAM anyway

2G is OK
:D

I agree that 2GB is enough. My laptop is already fast with a 2GB RAM. I upgraded it from 1GB to 2GB and the speed is observed to be faster now. 2GB will be enough for your use.

Yes 2 GB is enough according to your usage,

But i prefer you should buy 4Gb as a safe side, Because while playing game much RAM is required, and i feel so bad when Game stuck in between. So in future if you had plan for big games then RAM will be required.

But in your case i prefer 2 GB is more then enough.
