XFX ATI Radeon HD 4850

Well i resently got a budget gaming rig.

I was going to get a HIS 5770 but i have seen some good things with the XFX ATI Radeon HD 4850. 512mb..

Iv try some games out on the new rig but i find CoD MW2 to be a bit slugish and it drops a fuw frames everysooften.

Would this card be able to cope with the new upcoming games?

Get the 5770 for DX11 support if you are going to be interested in playing the latest games. A 4850 is only DX10. And a 5770 easily whips a 4850.

Whaaa? 350 pounds for a 5770??? Thats more than you should pay for a 5850!

The 4850 should easily play MW2 on highest settings depending on res....i think there could be another problem.

What sort of framerates are you getting?

Whats your full system specs?

4850 to 5770 seems like too small of an upgrade to me. I'd keep what you have until you can afford 5850 or better.

You can buy a Fermi 470 for that

The 5770 trumps the 4850 by about 25%, i have had both cards... XFX too

If you'v got the dollars get a 5870 but make sure your PSU can support it... if not, then a 5850
