Windows 7 slow bootup

About a couple hours ago I was playing BattleField: Bad Company 2 and all of a sudden the game froze. I couldn't start task manager to end the game so I held my power button and turned it off like that. I was booting back up and it stayed on a black screen with the cursor (I could move the cursor) and I waited about 5-7 min for it to boot up. It usually takes just seconds. I got logged in and everything on my desktop was laggy. I launched my browser (Mozilla FireFox) and took about 15 seconds for it to start. (Usually takes 1 second) Could barely to anything on my desktop. I'm thinking about doing a reinstall of OS but I have a feeling its a hardware/driver issue and don't wanna do that for nothing.

Here's my specs..
eVga nVidia GTS 250 512mb
Intel Core 2 duo E7400 2.53 GHz
Corsair 750w PSU
Gigabyte G31 mATX motherboard
4GB DDR2 Dual Channel RAM
Windows 7 Home Premium x86

I would greatly appreciate a solution to this problem.

I wouldn't reinstall. See my slow computer rant:

Click the button to generate the list, save it and upload it as an attachment to your next post, and I or some other forum member will advise you on what else to disable, if anything.
Then run HijackThis! in normal mode and post your scan log here and we'll see if there's anything else that needs to be looked at.

Finally, you can install a free anti-virus to help keep you protected (these aren't nearly as taxing on your memory as Norton). I prefer AVG Free Edition, but I've heard good things about Microsoft Security Essentials as well. Avira AntiVir and Avast! are two more options. Please install one of these programs to help keep you virus free.

After you've done all of these things, please wait until the computer is idle (no programs loading/scanning/etc), and hit ctrl+alt+delete and make note of your CPU usage at the bottom of the popup window.

It also helps to defrag your drive(s) regularly.

On your next post, please include both the HijackThis! Logs I've requested, your idle CPU usage, any steps you left out, the make/model of your computer, and let us know how your it is running now.

The only program that runs in the baxkground is my printer program. I never install Norton because its a complete resource hog. I have SUPERAntispyware detector. I ran that i fount 5 Trojan Viruses and 8 Adware. I removed them all and nothing changed on bootup. Again, I souly use this for gaming, not media

You verified that in msconfig and by running task manager after a reboot right? I would still feel better if I saw the HJT log.

Great program. I would still run Malwarebytes Antimalware, just to be sure. Sometimes one program can catch something the other misses. And then run HJT and post your log here. If it's clean, then no harm done. But maybe someone here will see something you've missed? It is posible isn't it?

*Solely. Well, a slow boot-up is a slow boot-up, no matter what you use the computer for. I would also recommend that you pull your graphics card and run off of on-board video if you have it, just to see if the graphics card is the issue. I would pull out all of the other PCI/PCIe/AGP cards and disconnect all other drives except the HDD w/ your OS on it, and disconnect any other devices connected via USB, Firewire, etc. Boot like that and see how the computer runs. This will tell us if it is software or hardware. Also, have you checked your temps? And make sure that all of your RAM is registering - Start-->All Programs-->Accessories-->System Tools-->System Information
 
I will pull my Video card when i get home from work. Hopefully that may be the problem.. Thankfully, eVga has a warranty for all their cards.. I also have a 80Gb SATA HDD with OSX installed, i will also pull thAt.
 
I removed my video card, sound card, and other HDD and ran CCleaner. Nothing helped. But heres my Hijack log..

Also, do you intentionally have Windows Live Family Safety installed? Are there kids in the house? If not, I'd uninstall that crap.
Additionally, I would download rkill.exe, then boot the computer into safe mode and run rkill first then run Malwarebytes Antimalware. After the scan, reboot into safe mode and run HijackThis! - put a check next to "O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [MSSMSGS] rundll32.exe winrqw32.rom,SkpfMZIWjL" if it is still there, and click "fix selected".
Then I would run msconfig, and go to Startup and click "Disable All", then go to the Services tab, check "Hide All Microsoft Services" and click "Disable All" - then reboot the machine into Normal Mode and post back here and tell us if it is running any faster. We may have to go back into msconfig and re-enable some of your Lexmark stuff, but let's get this thing to boot up proper first.

I use the logitech driver for Ventrilo, and steam and xfire run alot of my games...
My sister and her friends sometime use my computer, so I made a seperate account and installed family safety to prevent viruses of the game sites they go to..

But it's set to run on startup, and I don't like it. Please run rkill in safe mode, then Malwarebytes Antimalware, then reboot into safe mode and run HijackThis! and see if the entry is still there. If it is, run rkill.exe, then check the entry in HijackThis! and select "Fix Selected Issues." Then disable all the crap that you don't need running on startup via Start-->Run-->msconfig - you will not convince me that you need fifteen instances of Logitech software running in the background at all times, nor do you need Bonjour service, etc.

Also, hit ctrl+alt+delete and list all processes running that are using more than 10,000K - Let's figure out what it is that is causing your system to lag.

Slow startup is usually caused by an incompatible device/driver.
The first thing I would recommend is disconnecting everything that's not essential, and see does that solve the issue. If it does, then add devices back over time to see if/when the problem returns. For example: System is fine.. shut down... add the USB pastry~toaster... start up... OMG!! system is slow... Now you know what device is the cause.

You clearly didn't read through this thread. I've already suggested what you've suggested, and the OP already tried that. No results.
