Monitor Switching?

I have an external monitor hooked up with my laptop, so i have 2 monitors total. I have them set up as an extended desktop. It works fine, except, when i put it on standby, then resume from standby, they have switched. So my primary monitor is on the wrong one, and the sizes are messed up? Any idea as to what is going on?

almost both. i used the display option in the control panel, but then after i changed settings there, somehow i ended up messing with the program for the card. i also have realised it is when i close the laptop only, not when i physically put it in suspen, but when it does this automatically
 
Well, whatever your using, try the opposite. If you're using MS crap, try ATI/Nvidia/Intel's software. Maybe it'll hold the settings a bit better.
