Impregnable Computer???

I would like to build a computer that only I could access via internet. The computer would be in possession of others who could receive information via network cable, but that's it. Essentially all they would be able to do is turn it on and off. Hard drive files would have to be encrypted so as to be not easily read. I would maintain regular contact with this computer so I would know whenever it is off. I would use some remote login to do any required software maintenance. This computer would be performing a very restricted task so much of what would be present on an ordinary pc would be stripped out of this one. Any ideas on the feasibility of doing this? Thanks.

Why on earth would you need to do this?

Well, since I can't go fishing.... The computer contains proprietary code used for trading. The computer will reside in the offices of one or more brokers who can make the trade signals available to my clients and others. If they are ever able to gain access to my code then others could start trading it without my knowledge. There is encryption software available and I'm testing it. However, an encrypted file which someone has unlimited time access to can eventually be broken into. If they can never get such access then they will never be able to break into it. I'm only exploring possibilities and I know how unconventional this is.

Sounds legit to me,

There are programs like this: http://www.toplang.com/passworddoor.htm or the business version that can password protect your programs. It wont stop the people from seeing what you do when you access the program from a remote location though.

You could disable the video jack for the monitor and not use a user password. Then they couldnt see what your doing, and they couldnt connect a monitor to the computer. And you could get in with them only pressing a button for power (or you could just leave it on).

If your going to use windows 7 then you already have a hard disk encryption program. If you need one then I would use SecurStar:http://www.securstar.com/home.php

I never get to go fishing, life calls.
