My question's pretty straightforward; what type of laptop OS model is best at handling the heavy demand of realtime recording and therefore the many music softwares that are beneficial to the professional muso, such as Sibelius, Logic Studio, Pro tools and the like. What model do you think is the most efficient?

Mac OS X. Simple. Nothing comes close to it for recording and editing. That's why almost all professional studios use Apple products.
Ubuntu Studio is a distant 2nd. If anyone says Windows it's only because it's the only OS they've ever used. There couldn't be a worse OS for real-time audio recording and editing than Windows.
