Hey Alan wake is coming out, looks amazing.. Its a Microsoft game but I have heard it was canceled for the pc. I also heard that AC 2 was canceled for the PC but that did come out, is this really only going to be a 360 exclusive?
 
It looks like it's going to be Xbox 360 exclusive. There are a few interviews where the guys at Remedy (the developers) talk about it being 360 exclusive because it's "more compelling" to play on the 360. Some older interviews did hint at the possibility of a PC release even though it was going to come out first on the 360.
 
The latest interview with the developers states that the game should be played in HD, on a large screen, with a console controller to give it more a movie like experience, they have no plans to port it to PC.

it means the action is slooooow. you walk around with a flashlight searching for stuff, instead of running around shooting stuff. that would suck on pc

how is using a console controller more "movie like"? PCs cant render in HD or what? seems like a ploy to sell more xboxes

game does look nice though.

Not all PCs are hooked up to 40 and 50 inch screens with 7.1 surround sound, but your Xbox is more likely to be so. I guess that is their logic. If they port it to PC they will do it the same way Gears of War did, which was ported by a third party after it sold platinum on the xbox.

So, it may be ported, but the original developers have no plans on doing so, but that doesn't mean third party can't port it to PC.
