Please help me with saving video files & burning them to dvds.

Mainly I just want to save youtube videos & burn them to dvd.I seen several vids,google searched,etc on how to do it.But I still haven't been able to get a burned dvd.
I use vixy to download the file of the link of the video.
I save the files like this,worlds most shocking vids p1.flv
I used several free software dvd burners,none seem to work right.
What is the best way to do this?
What am I doing wrong?
Why is it s hard to get dvd burn software free?
 
most burners dont work with flv files download FORMAT FACTORY 2.30 this can convert your flv files into any format you want, then you can use nero, or ashampoo burning studio, or even cd burner xp to burn the files to disc.
 
I think I got the the converter software down.Been using vdownloader(AVI,mpeg,mp3,vcd,svcd,& dvd conveter).Works easy,copy & past link,select which conversion,& it does it fast!
Im guessing it will be easier to simply convert to dvd when I download them.

I tried dvd flick & got several OCX/DLL errors when attempting to download!
So now im trying imgburn.If I convert the vids to dvd format will it work on imgburn?
 
I use anyvideoconverter to download the youtube video into my pc. I convert it to mp4 and use Nero to burn them to my dvd or cd. I was able to put youtube videos in my iPod with anyvideoconverter software.
