It depends on your system, some support up to 6 but most support 4 or less. If you know your systems model number or motherboard we can look it up but it's probably a safe assumtoion that you're maxed out on the number of RAM sticks you can install.
The (comp.expert) from Frye's Electronics said that it will support 6 sticks.But when he installed the 4 single sticks of 1000 each said he couldn't use the 2 original Half sticks(500 each) that were in the computer when I brought it in.Is there a reason I can't also use those and have 5000 MB of memory?
The only thing I can think of is maybe 2 of the slots are DDR2 (or DDR3) and the other 4 are the other spec. But again without knowing the system it's hard to say.If as the guy said it can have 6 memory sticks, no, there is no reason why you can't have the other sticks in aswell
