Apple Printing osx problem

Hey all.

My heap of a work PC went up in smoke a month back, and I've been using a G3 mac laptop running 10.2.8 ever since. Needless to say it's a nightmare, with no current (or even slightly current) software being compatible. But I've gotten by, until now.

I need to be printing, and 10.2.8 is not supported by Lexmark (Z2490). Is there a way round this? Can OSX not just install it as a generic printer or something?

You can try the open source drivers, google search Guten Print
