i didnt actualy buy the kit i was given it so i thought i might aswell put it on

got 1 problem tho i can overclock it to 2.1 ghz before it wont start up when you exit the bios but it will run at 2.1 fine until you switch it of and on again and then it wont start up and the monitor wont switch on, then i have to reset the bios to use the pc

I am also new at this one. I want to try this but before i do it I want to make sure that it will not cause any damage on my computer. I have and amd athlon x2 240 2.8ghz. How does overclocking work? and what is it use?
