How do you unzip zip files

I have a TV program I really want to watch as a zip file but I am not sure what i am doing when i try to unzip it. How do you do this, so i know where to finmd teh unzipped file and then watch it on the VLC player?

Firstly, if it is from a channel that is not free in your country or that you do not pay for through your television subscription package, what you are doing is illegal.

Make a new folder called the program name somewhere

Assuming it is a program you can watch legally, find the zip file and double click it to open it. If you don't have something like winrar installed, windows will open it itself. Drag all of the files over to the folder you made before and the zip archive is now decompressed the zip file will still be there, but there will also be the uncompressed version
