You need a card with a single 6 pin power connector. I would need to know what exact model motherboard you have, but I seriously doubt it has a 2.0 PCI express x16 slot. It's probably a 1.0, so it won't put out the power requires for a no power plug 9800gt that I linked too in my first post. It needs help for the 6 pin power plug, so that 9600gt will be a huge upgrade from what you have and still work on your setup.

A 9400gt isn't much stronger than an 8500gt. A little stronger, closer to an 8600gt in performance.

cant i get a gts 250 or any other good card bcuz my screen is 1650 1050 and it needs really stong video card (forget about cheap)??? or should i get a new motherboard ?? and thnx for help :D

You power supply isn't strong enough for a gts250, it would probably blow and take your motherboard out with it. But if you can upgrade your PSU to a decent name brand 500+ watt PSU, than yeah you could get a gts250.

That being said, I've owned that exact biostar 9600gt, it's a decently strong card and would be enough for 1680x1050. I played COD WAW at 1920x1080 with it at 40-70 FPS.

Your CPU is actually more of a bottleneck than a 9600gt.

Yes just looking at it you can't tell. A 1.0 only runs at 1/2 the bandwidth as a 2.0 slot. And also, a 1.0 slot can only supply 50w of power to any given card, a 2.0 can supply 75w. See that 9800gt is meant for a 2.0 slot, it runs at about 60w I believe, so a 1.0 slot cannot handle it. BUT, each 6 pin connector can supply up to 75w of power also(in addition to the 50/75 from the x16 slot), so thats why I said you can run a card on a 1.0 slot as long as it has a 6 pin connector.
