Would this be a mid level gaming computer and first build??

Why don't you just copy and paste the links for each part in a reply as thats what most of the users do anyway.
 
This is just for my first build. Looking for a pc to play some games and downloading etc. Just trying to get into gaming on the PC and learn more about them. If all goes well i would plan on building a better quality one later. But let me know what you guys think and if all these would work together

the hard drive is:

1) overkill for storage. You REALLY have 2TB of data?

2) very poor. The deskstars are both slow compared to similar drives from better manufacturers (Seagate, Western Digital, Samsung) and extremely unreliable compared to the afore mentioned brands

the second would be my personal choice. Both have NCQ which speeds up the drives and gives a longer average life. You can also get 2 for less than the hitatchi you posted if you want, for a total of 1TB storage and RAID0 them for faster speeds. Or, you could get 2, and use 1 as a backup drive and have them in RAID1. Or, you could settle for jsut 1 and use the money elsewhere (video card I am thinking)

over what you put. Having used both boards, the asus one is much easier to use I have found, both building with it and the layout of it, and the software side of it, the bios is extremely easy to navigate and get a decent overclock going.

The CPU, for the extra $9 I'd go for

for the higher clocks and because you can change the multiplyer, making for easier and better overclockability if you wish to do so in the future

for $25 extra (potentially saved on the hard drive ;))

would be a much better option for the video card. The 9800GTX+ is the exact same card as the GTS250, both of which are destroyed by the 5770

for what reason do you want a hdmi output if you are getting a video card, other than to possibly test in the future if your video card is faulty? Just seems like a waste if you are going to be using a graphics card, makes the hdmi output useless really

they are usually more money as well. not worth it, just use the video card's hdmi (which it has).
