Single GTX 260-280 recommend an Intel Core 2 duo 1.8ghz?

well maybe they mean that or better? lol i dunno bro ... I guess they could recommend the six core i7 but no one can afford that :)

Lol no way,I think my E6300 bottlenecked my 8800GT yet alone anything else :P

silly rabbit, trix are for suckers.
they do this to sell more cards. of course they're not going to tell you you need a quad core 3gz cpu to run sli. nobody would buy their gpus. but if they say 'oh yeah, you can run this on that dual core no prob" more profit for them.

it could also be a typo, notice how it says "we recommend a of a Core 2..."
it should be "we recommend a minimum of a Core 2..."

Think i would notice a difference in BC2 if i got a GTX260?

i can play Medium smoothly, AAx1 AFx1. with my 8800GT. havnt tried High.

Well I upgraded from a 8800GT to a GTX 260 (good discount on it) and while it was a upgrade....it really wasn't that fantastic of a upgrade. I would get a 4890 over a GTX 260 or if you can get one on craigslist get a cheap used 260 like I did. Great savings ^-^

For some reason the 4890s are dissapearing from online stores brand new,...you may get one second hand easily though.

when i went from my 8800GT to the 4890 is was a huge diffrence!

Even though the 4890 is a beast of a card,Id recommend you go for something like a 5830 instead because its newer and of course has DX11.

Well, at least it's dual-core. Although it would definitely prove to be a bottleneck, it's pretty much the standard bottleneck that a company would put as their "absolute minimum" for anything. Windows XP has a RAM requirement of 256mb. Does it run fast with 256mb? Heck no. Also, if you think about it, cards back in '05 wre probably advertised with a minimum CPU of a Pentium 4 3.2GHz or something. Also a big bottleneck.

Oh what am I even saying, it deserves an LOL. :D
