Good Lan games

Hi All

In a couple of weeks me and two mates are about to embark on our yearly winter lan retreat...

In which we go down to my summer bach in the middle of winter (the town is deserted) and we set up a lan of three computers for like 4 days of heavy drinking and heavy spacies playing haha. Good times..

We usualy play such simple games as Diablo II and Counterstrike.. But yeah would love more...

So are what are the games out there that are:

1. Fun on Lan?
2. Can run lan off one copy? (Or work arounds so that you can)
3. Not overly expensive to buy?
4. Easy to learn and get the hang of since we only have like 4 days?

I dont really care if they are old or whatever... As long as they are fun lol.

Some people have suggested L4D to me... And they say that they think you can run in on more than one computer, as long as its the same IP address (which a lan would be)

Can anyone confirm this?
