New cooling system

Im looking for a new cooling system for my XPS and was wondering if this is a good cooling system

I don't trust those all-in-one liquid cooling systems... but if you're dead set on one, get the Corsair H50. First off, do you know what socket motherboard your XPS has? You can find out by downloading CPU-Z (I'm too lazy to find a link, you'll have to Google it), and telling us what CPU type comes up.

That basically is the corsair h50, and it's an lga 775, I believe.

Why are you looking for a different cooling system? Temps too high, or too loud? The main problem I can see with trying to upgrade the cooling system, is running into some stupid Dell proprietary system.

You may be able to find an h50 in store for $60 at a local best buy, save on shipping costs and dont worry about rebates:

Although, you want to make sure your rear fan is a 120mm, and also, if you have the room you may just want to grab one of these(as you arent gonna be overclocking a dell...)

All of the self contained units are relatively reliable, but they really don't cool as well as a true water unit, and rarely surpass a decent air cooler.

those all in one liquid cooling systems are bomb. I have the h50 and it is unbeaten by any air cooler aside from the megahalem with 4 fans on it.

Incorrect, there are alot of air coolers that will beat it, without "4 fans on it". A properly setup megahalems even with push/pull yate's will beat an h50.

i am having some heat problems and crashing problems and think it would be the CPU overheating (see here)

the way it is crashing it the only likly problem if it was the Video Card then the audio should stop during the crash so im down to the CPU

umm ur wrong. the megahalem WOULD beat the h50. thats what I was saying if u payed attention. but other than that, I havent seen an air cooler yet that beats the h50
