Thoughts?

Reminds me of the e6500k that was only released in china...i've always wanted to get my hands on one of those chips cause they are relatively cheap.

Those K chips sure look cool. Still if you like unlocked multipliers you should be with AMD as they are not really expensive in the first place! :D

I am actually liking intel more and more again. I went off them when they went crazy with their sockets and their prices went all ridiculous, but now you are actually getting something much better for your extra money, I can see a very good reason to spend the extra money over getting an AMD chip for less.

however, with that said, I don't see this as too much of an advantage over overclocking a chip to say 4GHz then putting on Cool 'n quiet, does similar, just not as inteligently

I can explain: He's Canadian.

this made me lol :P

I think thats a good idea, having affordable unlocked cpu's for intel, and it seems that they also have some nice features to go along with it.:good: intel.:)

ROFL!

i have an i7 860 in my 1156 rig right now running 4.2ghz fully stable. i don't really need an 875X, but definitely wouldn't turn one down if i had the money to get one. i think the budget performer is a the i3 530 though, i got mine to hit 4.62ghz Intel Burnin Test stable. all for $230USD for motherboard/cpu combo.

Yeah, a friend of mine in VT wants me to drive to mayfield heights(near cleveland) to pick one up for him haha.
I drove from NH down to Boston so I could pick one up, it was worth the savings, even with gas and tax. Also picked up a 1.5TB external HD for $99.
