ATI Driver Install

Anyone else with an ATI card having an issue updating the driver? I'm trying to install the latest driver for my 4870 on Win7 64-bit and the installer keeps crashing. Any ideas?

When installing my 5770 I had to install, uninstall, and reinstall the drivers 3 times before they actually "worked". Not the same issue you are having and I'm also running Vista Home Premium, but an issue with ATI drivers nonetheless...

Ive not had any problems,Then again i done a Fresh windows install a few weeks back and not an update.

I usualy uninstall the old driver,run Ccleaner to clean any crap left behind and then install the new.

You tried that?

I have had no problems at all with mine, however I always do the same as shane does, so that may be why

What you need to do:

Download the latest version.

Run the installer, follow prompts but select UNINSTALL. then reboot.

Run the installer again, follow prompts and select INSTALL. then reboot.

You're good to go.

I do this always ever since driver sweeper screwed up my system and made me reformat.
