Monitor not detecting signals? o.O

After 2 days of blood, sweat and tears, I finally got my first self made rig to work.

I'm finally able to turn on, and it stays on, all fans (cpu, gfx, psu and case) are all working, and all my LED's are on. Good right?

However, I plugged in my monitor, and connected with a dvi cable, and set monitor to dvi, and bam, no signal detected. I thought 'okay, lets try vga'. Same thing. So now I currently have both vga and dvi set into my 5850, and neither are detected through the monitor.

I tried resetting bat, reseating RAM, and GFX, and I'm still getting the same results.

Anybody have any idea what could be causing this?

Make sure everything is connected. If your Mobo has integrated graphics, connect the monitor to that then change the setting in BIOS to make it use the PCIe graphics card. Also, some boards use a "PCIe Switch Card" or something of the likes. It's a small part that would've come with your Mobo which you pop into a PCIe slot to tell it to use the other video card. My ASUS Mobo came with one.
 
I'm using a Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3 mobo. Doesn't have integrated graphics, and didn't come with a PCIe switch card.
 
You have the pci express power connector from the power supply plugged into it right?
 
Ya, I have two pci-e's plugged into my GFX.
And no, no beep code, I don't have a speaker in my front panel headers. Hoping to be able to figure it out without buying one. Might have to place an order if I can't figure it out.
 
You do have the card in all the way right? I couldn't figure out why my video card wouldn't work, and I just knocked it farther down. Barely any gold should be showing.
 
It's in as much as it can go. The lever on the pcieX16 slot is poped into lock, and its pushed in tight and screwed in.
 
There are speaker connectors in the fpanel header for a system speaker. Look on page 26 of the manual.
 
Case didn't come with any, just a power switch, reset switch, and HDD LED. Guess I gotta buy one. Hopefully I can pick one up at radioshack.
 
So I bought my system speaker, and decided to disassemble, and breadboard from scratch, or order to isolate my problem. So I hooked up the the HSF and CPU, and got a long series of short beeps, which my motherboard manual tells me is a power error.

I'm wondering though, how could it be a power error, when I had everything assembled, and all fans and LED's worked? (btw, I had the same power error beeps when I had it all assembled)
 
Nevermind all. I figured out I have a bad stick of RAM, thanks for all the help, through this, and my other threads.
