First build, last check before I power it on

So everything is plugged in but there are a few things I want to check. These are mostly retarded questions and I'm pretty sure it's alright but this thing makes me nervous :)

1 - I forgot a gold extender, is that a problem ? Also there was cardboard circles with the screws I put them between the screws and the motherboard, I assumed that's where they belong, was I right ?
2 - The case has firewire & audio ports on the front panel. I'm not going to use them so I didn't plug the connectors to the motherboard, is that OK ? (I made sure they don't lay around fans)
3 - On the big photo below :
3.1 - Circle 1 : This is the ATX 12V connector, there's only one way to plug this, right ?
3.2 - Circle 2 : Main power cable, can't go wrong either ?
3.3 - Circles 3 : These are the power cable of the case on the left (I assume) and on the right the massive fan (on the side of the case) power cable. Are they plugged alright ?
3.4 - Circle 4 : Rear fan cable connected to the CHA_FAN_2 connector of the mobo, that's where it belongs, right ? (it doesn't fit in CHA_FAN_1)
3.5 - From this photo, does everything else look OK ?
4 - On the 2 other blur photos : these are the 2 sides of the Asus Q-connector to which I plugged the HDD led, power switch, reset switch on 1 side and the tiny speaker on the other side, if I can see the text on the black connector, they're plugged in properly, right ?

Here are the specs in case it matters :
Case : Max In Power Bigmax
Mobo : Asus M4A79XTD EVO
CPU : Phenom II x4 955
RAM : 2 x 2 Gb G Skill PC 12800
GPU : Sapphire Radeon HD 5670
PSU : Corsair VX550W
HDD : WD Caviar Blue 500 Go

1 - Probably not. Don't make a habit of it, but as long as the motherboard isn't shorting out against the case, which it shouldn't be if there is only one missing, then there won't be a problem. As for the cardboard washers, those are meant to be used on any mounting holes on the motherboard that do not have a metal outline. If the holes have a metal outline then you shouldn't use them as this can prevent the motherboard from being properly grounded.

2 - Not going to be a problem, but why not hook them up anyway? I'm sure there will be times when you want to stick in a flash drive or headphones without getting around to the back of the computer.

3 - On the big photo below :
3.1 - Circle 1 : Yep
3.2 - Circle 2 : Yep
3.3 - Circles 3 : Yep and yep. Does your case have any lights or fan on the front? That's what the left connector is going to.
3.4 - Circle 4 : Yep
3.5 - Looks good.

4 - Hard to tell from the pics, but the white wires should be the negative, so make sure those are lined up where it's labeled with a minus. If you accidently reverse these, it won't hurt anything, the LED just might no light up.

3. Won't cause a problem not being in, but I have had problems with that board and my front USB panels, won't boot when they are plugged in.

4. So long as the names all line up to the correct place and are facing with the text out, will be fine.

However, on the first picture you have the pwr- without a wire on, it should do otherwise the power switch won't work

This one is labeled PLED which I assume stands for power led and I don't have a cable for it which must be normal since there's no power led on the case :)

The mounting holes do have a metal outline so I'll remove the washers.
Btw the screws are black, won't the paint prevent the board from being properly grounded as well ?

Is the board on standoffs? That is all it should need, I was assuming you didn't have standoffs and just the cardboard washers. If the latter is correct, leave them on, otherwise the board will be making contact with the case which will short it and not let it boot

OK I found what are standoffs ;) So yes it is on standoffs.
Does it matter then if the screws have black paint ?

One last thing, there's already a BIOS installed, right ? And I don't have to change anything, do I ?

BIOS is already there, yes. No, you don't have to change anything in it, however you may want to disable the full screen logo and the Express Gate so it boots faster, and so you can see the system POSTing

Also, is that 1600MHz Ripjaws? If so, you will have to set the memory to 1600MHz because the board has it at 1333MHz. It is a common thing with many boards and isn't a problem with the memory or anything else, just something you have to do.

To change it, go to the BIOS and go to advanced>Jumper Free Configuration

Change it from Auto to Manual and go down to memory clock I think it is and change it to 1600MHz.

Remember though, if you ever overclock, set it back to 1333MHz if you change the FSB because the memory clocks will also change

would my mother board in my sig have express gate what is it and do you need it, becuz my boot time is like one min

Express gate is a program that comes with Asus motherboards. It boots into it very quickly and you can look at pictures, go on the internet and listen to music and that is about it. But it waits for however long you set it to, I think 5 seconds by default

Although AsRock is an offbranch of Asus, I don't think they have it

Your boot time is 1 min because of your system, it isn't exactly the quickest ever

yeah but my bros dell dell inspiron 531 boots but alot faster than mine
