Upgrade

Hey guys

I'm thinking of getting a new GFX card. I was setting my eyes on the ATI HD 5770 but then I realized ATI has some serious problems.
I'm not into graphics so please correct me where I'm wrong. One of my friends has nearly the same specs I do. I've a core2Quad with win7 but Nvidia graphics. Where as him, have the same but ATI graphics.

I was able to play the game Saboteur but he couldn't. Noting that graphic is the only thing different here.

So before I shed out and buy the hd5770, can you advise me please. I'm not a heavy gamer but I do play often, and I'll appreciate a good Nvidia Graphic equivalent.

Im not sure of the serious problems that ATI has, the 5770 would be a nice solid card, even draws less power than a equivalent nvidia based 4xx series card and will run cooler, highly recommend you grab the 5770, just grab latest drives and be ready to experiment with some features on the card, not all work well with all games
