Internet explorer help

First of all dont flame me im a Mac person and dont really know what im doing but i need to fix my dads Dell because i know more about than he does. The problem began this morning when he was using internet explorer then it quit on him. since then internet explorer wont even open. I got firefox onto the computer and it works fine so the computer is still connected to the internet but IE just wont open. I went onto Microsoft's website and re downloaded IE but the problem continues. Does any one know a possible fix to this problem?

Download and run Malwarebytes see if it spots anything.
 
Instead of suggesting another browser lucasbyte, why don't you actually try to help him with his problem? :rolleyes:


Try repairing IE by clicking Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. Find IE in the list and select, click Uninstall. At the next dialog box click Repair. At the end of the process you will need to reboot
 
Firefox is so much better, that's why. No matter how much you and your buddies over there dislike me, you've got to agree about Firefox's superiority.
