CPU 1 Pin Broken. But it work?

Hi

Last night I misplaced my CPU in the wrong position and I've broke 1 pin. The first time I'm afraid to place back at the MoBo but I did it any way. Luckily it still work like a Charm. Is this possible or will it be there any problem in the future?

What do you think?

my mates in the same situation, obviously it may look fine but some things will not work i do recommend replacing it when you have the money :D

Not necessarily true. That pin he broke may only be a spare pin that is designed for future models using the same socket.

very possible, that is a gamble tho XD like um...1 in a *number of pins* chance? but still very possible, most likely if its plugged in it will either work or wont... basic electronics there, a missing connection can make things fall on their face

haha yeah if he broke the 'dud' pin hes a lucky guy :)
