do ram heatsinks help alot with cooling them?
is this ram the best for spending 100 bucks on or is there something better?

and also it says "8 Layers Custom Black Dragon PCB with LED" does this mean they light up?

Yes, RAM sinks do help dissipate heat from the modules.

Geil does make some good memory. It has a pair of LEDs on one side that light up. What are you planning on using this memory for?

yeah i bought the sunbeam ventmax and i will be replacing all the case fans in it. should i buy heatsinks for them?

Don't bother buying heat sinks for the memory. The shouldn't overheat as you wont be overclocking them any.

If you're worried about heat issues, you can save a few bucks and grab these: G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800). They have installed heatspreaders which helps to cool the memory and are great quality.

heat spreaders wont be necessary man cause ive been usin ram without heatspreader for years and are cool without one

yah they help, but there gimmics, if they are with in 5 bucks of regualar ram sticks w/o the heatsinks, id probably go for it, but anything over is not worth it.

yeah cuz you can get them off ebay for like 2 bucks each
