Metal Dector and X-ray machines at airports

i am plane on going back to Iowa and i what tack airplane back to IA and i what know if a Metal Dector or X-ray machines at airports if they hurts the
infomation on Hard Drive that i am talking with me or my Flash Drive or DVD that i have with me
 
Never had a problem yet. for laptops, disc x-ray is ok. What ya don't want and they have a need to know is do not send through airport magnetic detectors or expose them to magnetic wands.

Thats true, but you cant carry anything through the metal detectors. I guess just make sure to keep an eye on the wand.
