Evga p55 SLI question!

I just built a new computer with i7 860 and evga p55 sli mobo.
Everytime I turned on the computer from a cold start, the computer turned on for about 5 second then it automatically turned off for about 2-3 sec then it turned on by itself and everything ran perfectly afterward.

I had checked every connections, and they seem all rite. I noticed that when first boot up, the led (the one that display cpu temp) on my mobo show a series of numbers then stop at "03" then the whole system turned off, then when it turned on again, the led showed different number which started my system just fine.

I dont know what to do now, does anyone know what's going on? My guess is that the mobo needs to switch to some mode before booting up correctly. I need advice.

Thank you!

Mine does the same thing. From what I've read, during the initial power-up from an Off-state, it will start in a safe-mode to make sure everything is good, then cycle through a normal boot. It's a pain, but eh.

Have you looked around in the bios to see if you can turn it off? I know my classified doesn't do that

I did when I first built the system, but it was just a quick look while making other adjustments - didn't spend too much time with it. It's not a huge deal though, just takes a few extra seconds to POST. I'm fairly certain I read somewhere that it can be bypassed so I'm sure there's a setting somewhere.
