computer wont let me load software

Ok i got windows 7 and a new hard drive. I got it all set up and i was trying to put Pinnacle 9 on it and well it wont let me, it say's i need to log in as the admin to do it. WELL i am logged in as the admin and it will let me load up other software but will Not let me do this one till i log in as admin and i am..... so whats wrong?????
 
Have you tried right clicking on the install file and clicking on run as administrator?

wont give me the option to run as admin, here is a photo of what i see.

I have put this software on my other computer its a xp with NO problem....

also now i see some of the stuff on the computer im trying to do like hideing folders, it tells me only the admin can change this, and well im guessing it saying im not admin when i am logged in as it.....
 
Ok, try this.... Make a new account and give it administrator privileges. Then try installing the program again. It's possible that your original account is somehow corrupt possibly. If that don't work then I'm out of ideas.
 
I wouldn't bet all I got on this, but maybe this particular software (which works on XP, as you said), is just not compatible with 7. I tried once to install something on 7 which worked on Vista and, even though it warned me of compatibility issues, I went on. I ended up doing System Restore from a recovery disk... Look it up, the obvious sometimes escapes you. Then again, I may be wrong.

It is my understanding that pinnacle 9 is not compatable with windows 7, you will need to upgrade to pinnacle studio 14 i believe
