Hi!

:confused:Q1: I would like to know the differences between the Dual-Channel and Triple Channel memory means?
:confused:Q2: Also if two (dual-channel) memory sticks will work on a Triple Channel motherboard; (6 slots right)?

Thanks in advance

Memory generally comes in kits: single channel (one stick) dual channel (2/4 sticks) and tripple channel (3/6/9/12 etc) sticks.

Tripple channel memory offers more memory bandwidth than dual channel, and dual channel offers more memory brandwidth than single channel.

Basically you get better overall system performance, if you have decent timing and speed on your RAM.

first question: linkin.

second one: yes, the ram will work with the motherboard, but it will not utilize the dual channel feature, decreasing performance.

You mean triple channel? Because 2 sticks of memory will run in dual channel on a triple channel board assuming you put them in the right slots.

Your running an X58 motherboard so utilise the available bandwidth and go with a triple channel RAM set.
