Hi all
I am living in Jamaica. When I try to download Microsoft Essential, It told me that it is not available in my location. If I travell to the US and download it and use it there, would it be cause problem when I come back home?
Thanks
Paul

Yes, I am try to download from there, But is said it is not available in my country or region. It is like IE5 when It just come out with the 128bit encryption, it won't allow we outsider to download it. It check the ip address first before it let we download, but since I am not in the US now, so I can't down load it.
Thank you.,
Paul

It shouldn't matter where you are from. As long as you running an OS that is supports, it should install.

John,
You wouldn't understand the limitations when we live in a third world country. We Can't download alot of things which is free to you guys. we can't even watch the free broadcasting tv in the internet because We have the IP address other than US or Canada. So if I real want this I have to ask a family or firend to download it and email it to me, but I am curious that if it install in my computer, would I be able to update it when it's necessary?
Bmtt,
No it just simple say this is not available for us to download.
Thanks.
Paul

Paul, check the URL web address at the top of the browser. Some microsoft websites put the country code within the URL. For example, in the US, they put "en-us" and in UK its "en-uk". If you get this, try putting the US or UK code in and see if you get a different download page to what you are getting currently. It may not work, but worth a try.

Thank you. actually the link John post above is working with my home computer, I got it downloaded, but when I try install it, it said might conflict with the antivirus and antispyware program I have installed in my computer, so I cancel the installation until I decide if I should remove the AVG and Superantispyware.
Should I remove the AVG and Superantispyware then install Microsoft essential? or should I continue to use the two program with Malwarebyte?
Thank you again.
Paul

You would definately have to remove AVG in order for MSE to install and work correctly, you would not need to uninstall malwarebytes or superantispyware though.

Thank you John, Does MSE have same amount feature that norton 4 360 offer? my trial version at work is expiring in 30 days. So I might removed that and try MSE instead.
Thank again.

PS
John, The icon of your website that appears in the address bar and favorites menu has some how got into cnbc.com in my computer. I can't change back the original icon of their icon, what happen. I did something wrong? or I got a virus?

You mean the icon for computerforum that shows up in the address bar? Visit each website and readd it your favorites and that should clean up the icon issue.

The strange thing is, it only happen to cnbc.com website and noone else. You mean I should go to favorites menu and visit every site?
Thank you.
