okay so here it is;

I have Windows 7 installed on my desktop computer, and now I would like to install xp and have dual boot, so I can change OS on startup of my computer .. I've fixed the partion of the hard drive for xp and I've also downloaded a version of xp .. I´ve burned it to a DVD-RW disc by MagicISO and ImgBurn (tested both), but now when I get to the boot menu the computer says click any key to boot with this CD, but when i had done that some files are starting to load, and in a couple of minutes the computer have turned into the blue screen mode. .. I put in the Windows 7 installer disc and it worked!, I came to the installation, and its said Press Any Key to boot with cd / dvd, but when i sat in the xp disc the computer says press any key to boot with cd.?? not dvd ??

And when I insert the Windows disc 7 so it will boot to the side and when it says Press Any Key to boot with cd / dvd .. and when it works to get to the setup page and install it!

But not with XP disc, then it will blue screen.

I need help because I really want to have dual boot on these two OS ..

Have followed this guide; ..http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/8057-dual-boot-installation-windows-7-xp.html

I don't believe that you can download windows legally. I will help you if you have a genuine version.

im not so good att english but i not downloaded it, i get it from a friend. he doesnt want it then he gave it to me..

but i want have xp too.. help plz ..:(

You must install in order from oldest OS to newest. So install XP first and get it all setup. Then create a new partition and then install Win 7 on that partition. Then you will be fine. If you install XP after Win 7, xp's boot loader will overwrite Win 7 therefor you will NOT be able to boot from Win 7 unless, you use a program called VistaBootPro. Vistabootpro lets you add another OS to the boot loader.

put your XP boot disc in and when you get to the partition manager screen create two partitions; one for XP and one for windows 7. continue with the installation.

next boot with your windows 7 disc and install on the unused partition.

ever heard of don't ask, don't tell? there are plenty of ways you can legally download a windows .iso.

Huh? I know you can get 7 from MS as an iso or something, but downloading XP? What do you mean? Is it like a pay-for-an-iso-that-is-deleted-on-the-server-after-the-download setup?

downloading... as in downloading something from the internet???

i don't understand your question. i'm at this very money using a legit copy of windows xp that i DOWNLOADED for free with my MSDN account.

Yes I mean downloading off the Internet. Not "downloading" as in installing or something like some people misuse the word for.
Downloaded XP for free? Is it free to get a MSDN account?

you need to be a student and get an invite through your university. only certain majors qualify..that's how it is at my school anyway.

Yeah...
How the heck do you configure the darn thing, and how do you get it off a drive in a netbook? The ultimate question that has stumped entire forums (well, ok, just one forum, but it was pretty big).

It is a great idea though, but I use grub for linux, and ntldr and bootmgr for Winders. Just can't figure out the BCD, though.
