And someone had picked me out a combo deal with ram and a video card, but twice now I have had a bad dimm with ocz ram, I'd rather pick something out with higher ratings.
Im already 70 over my inteded budget before mail in rebates, but whatever, you gotta do what you love =P

You put an extra hard drive and an extra case, I really like the choice on the case and the ram, however for the video card, at that price you would be better off with a 4670 or getting a combo deal of a gts 250 and powersupply sec ill see what i can do for you.
 
Two of the links display as the combo deals, however there is only one case and hard drive =P

you think I'd be better off with that processor? I honestly dont know much about processors, but it seems like a big downgrade

And although I do want to play (most) games in high detail, I am concerned about the multitasking capabilities.

Also my only problem with that graphics card, Is I would like to have the standard VGA output also. Although I do use hdmi with my monitor, I like to have that option

On a side note....
Ugh...Dont get my wrong, I know the rules of a forum, but this one gives me so much trouble when trying to post. I didn't even click the submit button a million times, I posted, the page opened into a blank page and stopped, so I went back into my thread where my post had not showed up. After I few minutes I posted again and the same thing happened, except this time x2

Yeah same thing was happening to me, well i mean it all comes down to you personally ofcourse a multicore is good for multitasking however i have used dual cores alot and i have never had a blip when multitasking, well possibly once i just dont see the point in buying a non phenom quad core.
 
Well I do like that the reviews for that MOBO often state that they are able to to unlock 4 cores with that CPU, and the price is a few bucks cheaper and I got a much better card.

Yup exactly and for gaming ive used a 4870 i threw modern warefare 2 at it and it was absolutely incredible, I imagine that card can do just about anything you ask it too.
 
Well I like the switch, but I wonder how well the 550w PSU will stand up once I over clock, and I really cant go afford to go any more over my budget then I already have. My original budget was 500, but now im at about 590.

Yeah i had the same exact problem i keep having to readjust my budget, but id wait on the overclock, till you can get a better psu however im not very framiliar in that department.
