Questions about multiple Windows accounts

This may be a dumb question but if you have more than one account and while you are logged into the first account and you receive a virus, will that virus show up in the second account as well? If I am scanning for viruses in general, do I need to scan all the accounts?

What if I make changes to the registry in the first account, will that change show up in the other accounts as well?

BTW, this is on Windows XP.

If a virus gets on a computer, regardless of how many accounts, you have to scan the whole thing. Accounts are not separate, storage-wise, so yeah you have to scan them all. If you make changes to the registry that are universal, (which is most of the keys), yes they will show up unless you're editing things specific to that account.
I hope you can understand me :D

Because your program is probably asking you whether to scan the docs or not. There are no dividers when a virus gets on your HD, they go wherever they please-that's why I said they're not separate.
