what would you choose for 3D gaming on PC...?

3x Alienware 23" OPTX 3D monitors?

OR...

1x Sony Bravia KDL40XH800 3D LED LCD?
 
At the moment I have a GTX 295... but I will be building a new system with 2 GTX 480's

I will mainly be playing FPS and RPG's... I really love the picture quality of the Sony LED but like the idea of the panoramic view lol
 
got a link for the sony? i can't seem to find it...

but as of now, i'd say the three alienwares. i prefer surround to a big monitor, but keep in mind performance will not be as high as with a single monitor.

EDIT: not entirely sure, but it looks like the big tv wouldn't sacrifice any performance for 3d like the smaller monitors do (you cut fps in half for those).

do you happen to know if the nvidia 3DTV play software is available yet?

has anybody had experience with this monitor and the nvidia 3d glasses? i am a bit concerned to order 3 monitors from dell and be waiting around for a month only to find out they arent that great, its a lot of money after all lol
 
it is actually way past my bedtime but oh well :P

i think the latest drivers have enabled the 3DTV play.

i am assuming the big tv uses polarized glasses, right? the best way to try each setup (nvidia 3d vs. sony tv 3d) would be to try each out (or wait until someone with experience form both posts :P).

the thing is there is no where that i can try nvidia's 3D :(

the sony glasses are actually not polarized, just active shutter... which eliminates any flicker

maybe ill just buy both... :P
