Yesterday an e-mail apparently went out to all of the contacts in my address book with a link to a site to buy Cialis and Viagra which I did not send. I'm using Yahoo mail. Does anybody have any idea how this happened and if it means I have a virus? I did a full scan with malwarebytes but nothing was found.

There have been a lot of hacked email accounts lately. Basically all you need to do is change your password and the emails will stop.

Happened to a friend of mine recently as well. Everybody on his mail ist was getting those email links for days on end until he finally got it sorted out. Haven't spoken to him since though so I have no idea what he did to stop them.

Usually password change is all that's required. I have few friends who had the same problem. They changed their passwords and so far they are not experiencing this problem. :)

happened to me a couple of times.. I just changed the security codes, as well as my primary email to stop the sent mails.. not done by a virus, it is done by a hacker..
