Building my first computer. Help please!

D!!

In the next few days I'm looking to begin buying parts to build my very first computer. I've spent the last seven years or so of my life on a horrible compaq, so this whole process is really exciting to me. I should be receiving my second paycheck this Friday, and I'll have $600 minimum to spend on it. There's a decent chance I could have up to $50 or so more depending on this check. I want to mainly use this computer for gaming, and it'd be nice if it ran well altogether, too, since that's not something I'm used to.

I think I've got some parts together that I want to use. Compatibility? What else do I need? I have a mouse, keyboard and disc drives already. Any critique would be appreciated, but I have the money together (Came out to $740 :D), and I'd like to start spamming purchases as soon as I know I'm good. Thanks!
