My CPU is suddenly running on just one core.

I noticed today that my desktop computer with a triple-core processor for some reason seems to be only using one core suddenly. What could be the cause of this? It's making the CPU usage really high, a lot higher than usual. Here are some pictures:

Windows All CPU Meter Gadget that just yesterday was showing all 3 cores:

Everything showed 3 cores just the other day, and my computer overall is running slower now.
 
Try this:

Start> search/run "msconfig"> Boot Tab> Advanced button

-Un-check the number of processors box.

-Check "Detect Hal" box.

-Apply and restart.
