H70 and Corsair vx550....

Hi Guys,
I was planning to upgrade my system for my gaming needs and recently i've been doing a lot of research,
as i already have a system with specifications as follows:

AMD Phenom 2 X2
Gigabyte MA785GM-US2H mobo
4 Gigs DDR2 Ram
500 GB Segate Bracuda HDD
ATI Radeon HD5670 DDR 5 Graphics
LG CD/DVD optical drive
Circle 400 watts PSU with 120 mm fan
and a standard case which i intend to change soon with a gaming case....

Now the main thing is i have a plan to install Corsair H70 water cooling kit as my system gets very hot and noisy while playing games like Battlefield bad company 2 and equilivant.....and i was thinking of replacing my PSU also with Corsairs VX550 as sometimes my system shuts downautomatically at the start up so i assumed it was a Power related issiue, so would it be a good idea
for me to make all these changes and will it yield good results?????

Also please suggest a good value for money Gaming Case????

PS:- will upgrade processor to X6 but first would like to look into above mentioned matters....
 
The Corsair PSU is a quality unit and should solve your shutdown problems if, in fact, the problem is power related. For the noise - Are you sure it's the CPU cooler? Typically, while gaming, the GPU is the louder of the two, but I don't know anything about your setup, and that may not be the case. The H70 reviews look pretty good and places performance on par with the best air coolers, but it's expensive and seems like overkill for a duo core CPU of what - 80 watts? A better air cooler and maybe a case that moves a good amount of air, I think would solve that problem. I like the Antec Illusion - A nice looking little mid-tower IMO that has good airflow.
 
Try to borrow PSU from your friend and try it with your system. Do not buy new PSU until you are completly sure that your old one makes shutdown problems.

Even if the immediate problems aren't being caused by the PSU, it is insufficient for the current rig let alone any upgrades. New PSU required first.
