Shopping for a full tower case, any budget

So which one between just these two: Lian-Li Pc-p80 or the Coolermaster HAF 932? I gotta make a decision soon. There's a lot of awesome cases out there, but I narrowed it down to these two.

you say the 700D and 800D are terrible at watercooling, but than say there mint for the h50 and h70, which in my book are considered watercool setups.

They are self contained watercoolers, and they do not cool anything except the GPU. Any case with a rear 120mm fan is able to be used with the h50/h70, however when a case is considered to be designed for watercooling, or to be good for watercooling, it has the user of a custom loop in mind. The h50 and h70 are designed to compete in the high end air cooling market, not with the custom liquid cooling market.

It's sorta opinion here... HAF 932 will be cheaper and easier to use while the PC-P80 will be very light and stylish. If you're just talking about looks, it's either rugged or sleek.

The lightness would be a huge factor for me since i'd sometimes want to move it around. Most of the time I wouldn't however. Aren't they both around 35 pound cases?

Have you spent any time yet at the manufacturer's product pages?, (PC-P80, HAF 932. You'll want to know everything about the cases before making your decision. A few things I like better on the Lian Li is that it's aluminum construction with an anodized brushed exterior finish, it has a removable MB tray, and it has large, but standard size fans that could be replaced easier than the 230mm fans on the HAF. I'm guessing that the HAF is steel, I don't see any indication otherwise.

Is it worse to have bigger fans? I kind of like how easy it is to change drives on the 932. Pc-p80 looks a bit nicer and easier to maintain, but for the cost could get the 932 and a nice mobo or hd. Hmm.

No, it is better to have bigger fans, as it means more airflow

The HAF is cheaper as it is smaller and has less features, however also because with lian li, you pay for the name. If the same case was made by some unknown company, the price would be lower.

I would still take the Lian Li case though for the size and features, the only bad thing about it is the finish they put on their cases can scratch easily, so you have to be careful with them

There's a lot of people happy with their HAFs and they are known for good airflow. Big fans are good in general - Turn slower for less noise, yet still move lots of air. If you did wish to change a case fan for whatever reason, with 120 & 140mm fans there's lots of choices (fan speed, LED color, PWM, non-PWM, etc). You may not have those choices if you wantd to change a 230mm fan.

Lian Li is known for attention to detail and quality. Some regard it as the best, but they are generally more expensive. I've got two Lian Lis and doubt I'll own anything else, but I do recognize there's other good cases that may better suit other's tastes, needs, and budgets.

Bump: I ended up going with the haf 932.. As it turns out the thought of getting both a new mobo and a case instead of the lian li was hard to argue with. Ended up ordering both the 932 and a new mobo, asus crosshair iv formula to start a new build!

Well, it'll give you something to shoot for in the future. :) Seriously, you have to give something else up to pay for some of the upper Lian Li's. I wanted one for about 9 months before I saved enough spare change. Good luck with your new build. Post some pics.

I just bought both of those, the case is excellent and I hear the mobo is just as good. Tons of air flow, tons of space, it looks great (Though I would have preferred a black interior), and its a pretty reasonable price (especially when you consider how many fans it comes with). One other thing I liked about the case is it came with literally 1 zillion screws. I already have tons, but I like when companies add things like that. Even though it doesn't cost them much to do it, they don't have to, and no one buys a case because it comes with a lot of extra screws, its just a thoughtful thing for them to do.

That's reassuring. Do you notice the interior very much with all your other stuff in there? I'm putting mine below my desk so i'm hoping I won't notice anything when i'm using it. How did you keep track of each size screw so you know where they go?

I love my HAF 932; however, the front panel died on it and I am having problems getting in touch with cooler master.
